What Is PresenterBank™ ?

PresenterBank™ is new software from Meeting Expectations LLC which allows presenters at conferences to effortlessly upload their Powerpoint slides and other files to our server, to be loaded on our computers at the event. It will run on any computer with Windows 2000, XP, or Vista. The steps you must take to start uploading are:

1. Download the installer program.
2. Run the installer program on your computer.
3. Run the PresenterBank™ uploader program and upload your files.

Download The Installer

The installer is a file named PbUploaderSetup.exe. You can start downloading it by clicking here. Your browser may ask you whether to SAVE or RUN this file. Please SAVE it. Be sure to remember what folder you save it to, so that you can find it in the next step. After this step, you no longer need your web browser.

Run The Installer

Now, you must open (run) PbUploaderSetup.exe. If you saved it to your desktop, you can just click on it there to open it. If you saved it to some other folder on your hard drive, you should navigate to that folder using Windows Explorer, then click on the installer in the right pane to open it. Where ever you find it, the icon for the installer looks like this:

Once you open the installer, you will see this:
.
Answer the questions the installer asks. Unless there is something unusual about your computer, you should be able to simply accept the suggested answers.

When the installer has finished, the icon for the PresenterBank™ uploader will appear in your Start Menu, and also on your desktop if you chose that option while installing. That icon looks like this:

Run the PresenterBank™ Uploader

Next, open (run) the PresenterBank™ uploader by clicking on its icon. The first time you run it, it will ask you to identify your presentation, by entering the password which was sent to you in your notification email. The dialog that will appear looks like this:

To avoid transcription errors, we suggest that you copy the password from your notification email, and paste it into the dialog by clicking the "Paste" button. After the first time you run the uploader, it will remember your presentation password, so you will only have to enter it again if you want to use it on a different computer. It is strongly suggested that you only install the PresenterBank™ uploader on computers that you consider secure.

After the presentation password has been checked, you will see the uploader window with an empty list of uploads:

As you can see, the top part of the window contains the event and presentation information. Below that is the list of files you have uploaded. Below that is the information about the uploaded file which is selected in the list. Finally, at the bottom is a row of 4 push buttons. These buttons are the only controls you need to use the uploader.

When you want to upload a new file from your hard drive, click the "Upload New File" button. This will bring up a standard File Open dialog that will allow you to select a file from your hard drive:

Once you select a file and click the "Open" button, the upload will begin. During the upload, you will see this display, which will update frequently:

When the upload is complete, you will see a confirmation message:

After you dismiss the confirmation dialog, the normal display will return, with the file you just uploaded now in the list:

When you want to replace a previous upload with a newer updated or revised version, click the "Replace Selected Upload" button. This will remove the old file being replaced from the list and the new upload will then appear in the list.

When you want to completely remove a previous upload, click the "Delete Selected Upload" button. This will remove the selected file from the list without replacing it.

When you want to download the selected file back to your computer so you can review or revise it, click the "Download Selected Upload" button. This will bring up a dialog that will allow you to choose a folder on your hard drive, and then to download the file back into that folder. The file you downloaded remains in your PresenterBank™ list.
